Reality Series Tracks 3'10" Singer/Actress as She Tries to Succeed in Hollywood

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- National Lampoon Network announced today that the company will move forward with 10 new episodes of the groundbreaking reality series, "Bridget the Midget." The show follows the life of Bridget Powers, a 3'10" tall actress/aspiring rock singer, showing how she beats the odds and lives life on her own unique terms.

As cameras follow her, Bridget introduces the audience to her wide range of friends and family, delving into her past struggles while she works to define her future. Much of the show centers on Bridget's relationship with her band, Blakkout, and the musicians' efforts to break into the music industry. Bridget, who describes herself as a "sexy midget," interviews a myriad of rock and roll hopefuls and celebrities while entertaining the audience with her engaging personality.

"'Bridget the Midget' is National Lampoon Network's first originally developed and produced reality show. Of course, we push the reality envelope because that's what our core audience of college students expects," says Daniel S. Laikin, National Lampoon Chief Operating Officer. "'Bridget the Midget' has the hip, fun edge you would expect only from National Lampoon."

"Bridget the Midget" is shown every week on the new National Lampoon Network, which serves more than 400 college and university communities throughout the United States, including major institutions of higher learning both in and out of the Pac 10, Ivy League, and Big 10. The network reaches approximately 3.5 million students, or nearly one in four of all 18 to 24 year old college students. The time and day each new episode is aired varies from campus to campus and depends on individual campus station schedules. Check local listings for details.

Since "Bridget the Midget" debuted last week on the National Lampoon Network, the show has become an audience favorite.

"Bridget the Midget" Producer Mary Church added, "Bridget has the unique ability to deliver the complete unexpected. Her outlook on life and her ability to not let anything in life hold her back was an inspiration to all of us as we followed her and taped the show. What she has to overcome to realize her dream of making it in Hollywood shows just how big Bridget truly is."
